2001

The A. Ahlström Corporation group was split into three separate companies in 2001. The new companies were the Ahlström Capital investment company, Ahlstrom Corporation and A. Ahlström Osakeyhtiö.

Ahlström Corporation manufactured fibre-based special materials and went public in 2006. A. Ahlström Osakeyhtiö was a forest and property management company. A. Ahlström Osakeyhtiö became A. Ahlström Kiinteistöt Oy as a result of a business transfer in 2013, and the next year it became a subsidiary of Ahlström Capital.
